Below are details of club walks taking place within the next 28 days (half-yearly programmes are available only to members).
Non-members are welcome to try out a walk or perhaps two before joining. BUT make sure your come with suitable footware, clothing and sufficient food and water for a day walk, please see the Come Prepared page
Walkers are advised to check up-to-date public transport times, and, should keep in mind that leaders are at liberty to alter walk routes when necessary due to circumstances prevailing on the day
The words AMBLE or PLUS precede some walks, indicating that they correspond with the so-named walk type descriptors given on the Our Walks page, the remainder adhere to the Moderate Walks description in style.
Please note: our walks are peer-led, not guided, and are for people with some walking experience.
NON-MEMBERS PLEASE CONTACT CLUB BY EMAIL FIRST BEFORE ATTENDING A WALK AND WHEN ATTENDING BE PREPARED TO PROVIDE FULL NAME AND CONTACT DETAILS.
With travel timetables changing frequently and buses being cancelled at short notice PLEASE check travel times yourself shortly before the walk.

Complete change to walk and leader: Sheffield Station Huddersfield train (9.35) to Elsecar (9.53) (Use concessionary pass for half price single ticket) Linear walk to Parkgate Tram Train station via Elsecar Heritage Centre, Wentworth Village, Wentworth Woodhouse and Earl Fitzwilliam’s canal - 8 miles
Saturday 24th October 2026
PLUS – Sheffield Interchange 65 bus (9.35) to Tideswell (10.38). Car drivers can join same bus at Calver Crossroads at 10.16. Linear walk to Calver via Wormhill, Millersdale, Cressbrook Dale, Foolow and Eyam – 10 miles.

Margaret Nicholls Memorial Walk Sheffield Cathedral Blue route tram (9.38) to Malin Bridge (9.58). Linear walk to Lodge Moor via Rivelin Valley, Rivelin Rough and Wyming Brook - 8½ miles.
Saturday 31st October 2026
AMBLE – Sheffield Interchange (C5) 71 bus (10.05) to Catcliffe Glass Cone (10.28). Leader will join bus at Darnall. Linear walk to Beighton or Crystal Peaks via River Rother, Orgreave Lakes, Woodhouse Washlands and Rother Valley Country Park – 6 miles. (Several break off points)
PLUS – Sheffield Interchange 65 bus (9.35), to Fox House (10.05). Leaders will meet bus. Linear walk to Hathersage via Longshaw, Froggatt Edge and Grindleford – 10 miles.

Sheffield Interchange 218 bus (10.10) to Chatsworth House (10.57) Linear walk to Baslow via Hob Hurst’s House and Robin Hood - 8 miles.
Saturday 7th November 2026
AMBLE – Sheffield Snig Hill (CG9) 82 bus (9.47) to Hunters Bar. Meet entrance to Endcliffe Park, walk starts at 10.30. Linear walk to Whirlow Bridge via Porter Valley (short steep bit at the top), Ringinglow and Limb Valley - 4½ miles. (Return buses 81/272 from Whirlow Park.)
PLUS – Car ramble. Meet (10.00) Pilsley Inn, High Street, Pilsley DE45 1UL (OS Grid Ref. SK 240 710, What3Words ///cakewalk.pricier.join). Round walk via Chatsworth, Baslow Edge and Curbar – 10 miles.

Sheffield Interchange 65 bus (9.35) to Tideswell (10.36). Linear walk to Castleton via Wheston and Peak Forest - 8 miles.
Saturday 14th November 2026
AMBLE – Sheffield Interchange 65 bus (9.35) to Fox House (10.05). Linear walk to Hathersage via Yarncliffe Wood, Hay Wood, Grindleford (break-off point) and riverside path – 6 miles.
PLUS – Sheffield Interchange 257 bus (9.00) to Cutthroat Bridge (9.31). Round walk via Hordon Edge, Derwent Edge, Back Tor, Foulstone Delf, Strines, Strines Moor Ridge and Moscar House – 10½ miles. (Some boggy ground.)

Sheffield Interchange 65 bus (9.35) to Eyam (10.22). Linear walk to Fox House via Stoney Middleton, Froggatt and Longshaw – 8 miles.
Coffee Morning - If you’re not getting out for walks these days and missing club friends, come and join us for a coffee and a catch-up, 10.30 - 12.00 at the ‘1554 Coffee Shop’ inside Sheffield Cathedral.
