Below are details of club walks taking place within the next 28 days (half-yearly programmes are available only to members).
Non-members are welcome to try out a walk or perhaps two before joining. BUT make sure your come with suitable footware, clothing and sufficient food and water for a day walk, please see the Come Prepared page
Walkers are advised to check up-to-date public transport times, and, should keep in mind that leaders are at liberty to alter walk routes when necessary due to circumstances prevailing on the day
The words AMBLE or PLUS precede some walks, indicating that they correspond with the so-named walk type descriptors given on the Our Walks page, the remainder adhere to the Moderate Walks description in style.
Please note: our walks are peer-led, not guided, and are for people with some walking experience.
NON-MEMBERS PLEASE CONTACT CLUB BY EMAIL FIRST BEFORE ATTENDING A WALK AND WHEN ATTENDING BE PREPARED TO PROVIDE FULL NAME AND CONTACT DETAILS.
With travel timetables changing frequently and buses being cancelled at short notice PLEASE check travel times yourself shortly before the walk.

AMBLE – Sheffield Arundel Gate (AG4) 75 bus (9.49) to Bellhouse Road (10.10). Linear walk to Rotherham via Meadowhall (break off point) and Sheffield Canal – 6 miles.
PLUS - Car ramble. Meet Hartington Village Square (10.00). Round walk via Alstonefield, Hall Dale, Milldale, Wolfscote Dale and Beresford Dale – 11 miles.

Sheffield Interchange 272 bus (9.45) to Fox House (10.16). Linear walk to Hathersage via Longshaw, Over Owler Tor, Stanage Edge, Long Causeway, Buck Stone, Sheepwash Bank, Bronte Cottage and Baulk Lane - 8 miles.
Saturday 18th July 2026
AMBLE – Scarecrow walk. Sheffield Interchange (D4) X17 bus (9.36) to Chesterfield Bus Station (10.20) then, Pronto bus (10.35) to Heath (10.55). Linear walk to Temple Normanton via Scarecrow Trail and Sutton Scarsdale Hall – 5 miles. (Return by Pronto bus to Chesterfield then bus to Sheffield.)
PLUS – Sheffield Arundel Gate (AG123) 98 bus (9.31) to Dore & Totley Station (9.59). Round walk via Bradway, Coal Aston, Norton and Ladies Spring Wood – 9 ½ miles.

EVENING RAMBLE – Car ramble. Meet in open area near toilets, Hathersage (17.30). Round walk via Ridgeway Side, Green’s House, North Lees and Cow Close – 4 miles.

Sheffield Station Manchester train (10.14) to Hope (10.39) Linear walk to Edale via Hope Cross and the Youth Hostel - 7 miles. (Buy return ticket to Edale. Return trains to Sheffield at 31 mins past the hour.)
Saturday 25th July 2026
AMBLE –Sheffield Interchange (D5) 53 bus (9.50) to Tesco, Clowne (10.35). Leader will join bus at Manor Top. Linear walk to Bolsover via Clowne Greenway, Elmton, Whaley, Scarcliffe and Palterton – 6 miles.
PLUS – Sheffield Station Manchester train (9.14) to New Mills (10.01). Round walk via Sett Valley Trail, Aspenhaw Farm, Rowarth, Robin Hood’s Picking Rods, Cown Edge Way, Hollywood End, Mellor and Brook Bottom - 11½ miles.

Sheffield Interchange 218 bus (9.40) to Bakewell. (10.32). Round walk via Ashford in the Water, Sheldon, Magpie Mine, and Over Haddon - 8½ miles.
Saturday 1st August 2026
PLUS – Sheffield Station Huddersfield train (9.35) to Penistone (10.19). Round walk via Cross Royd Head, Hartcliff Hill, Penistone Boundary Walk, Catshaw, Hoyland Moor, Hoylandswaine and Spring Vale – 12 miles. (50% off fare with S. Yorks. bus pass.)

Sheffield Interchange 65 bus (9.35) to Fox House (10.02). Round walk via Longshaw, White Edge, Curbar and Froggatt Edge - 8½ miles.
