Below you will find details of club walks taking place within the next 28 days, taken from the current
edition of our twice yearly printed programme, circulated to all members. Non-members are welcome to
try out a walk or perhaps two before joining: please see the Come Prepared page BUT make sure
your come with suitable footware, clothing and sufficient food and water for a day walk. Details were correct
at the time the paper programme went to press, but walkers are advised to check up-to-date public transport
times, and, should keep in mind that leaders are at liberty to alter walk routes when necessary due to
circumstances prevailing on the day. The words AMBLE or PLUS precede some walks, indicating that they
correspond with the so-named walk type descriptors given on the Our Walks page, the remainder adhere to the
Moderate Walks description in style. Leaders' names and contact details are only available to club members
via our printed programme.
Please note: our walks are peer-led, not guided, and are for people with some walking experience.
NON-MEMBERS PLEASE CONTACT CLUB BY EMAIL FIRST BEFORE ATTENDING A WALK AND WHEN ATTENDING BE PREPARED TO PROVIDE FULL NAME AND CONTACT DETAILS.
With travel timetables changing frequently and buses being cancelled at short notice PLEASE check travel times yourself shortly before the walk.

Sheffield Interchange 65 bus (9.35) to Fox House (10.02). Round walk via Longshaw, Froggatt, Grindleford Bridge and Padley Gorge - 9 miles.
PLUS - Sheffield Interchange bus 272 (8.46) to Castleton (9.41). Round walk via Cavedale, Mam Tor, Hollins Cross, Twitchill Farm, Aston, Hope Station and Brough -11 miles.
Thursday 22nd May 2025
Sheffield Interchange 218 bus (9.40) to Baslow (10.19). Leaders will meet bus. Round walk via Chatsworth Park, Hunting Tower, Birchen Edge, Three Ships and Baslow Edge - 8 miles.
Saturday 24th May 2025
AMBLE - Sheffield Interchange 257 bus (9.55) to Moscar Lodge stop (10.20). Linear walk to Low Bradfield via Stake Hill Road - 5 miles.
PLUS - Sheffield Station Manchester train (9.14) to Chinley (9.54). Round walk via Cracken Edge, Peep-o-Day, Kinderlow End, Kinder Low, South Head and Alder Farm - 11 miles. (Strenuous, significant ascent, some wet and boggy ground.)

Meadow walk - Sheffield Interchange 65 bus (9.35) to Foolow (10.25). Linear walk to Hope Village via Grindlow Great Hucklow, Windmill, Coplow Dale, Green Dale, Bradwell and Brough - 7½miles.
Saturday 31st May 2025
AMBLE - Sheffield Interchange 272 bus (9.46) to Fox House (10.14). Round walk via Longshaw, Yarncliffe Wood, Grindleford Station, Padley Chapel and alongside Padley Gorge - 5 miles.
PLUS - Car ramble. Meet Elton Church (10.00) (Grid ref. SK 221 609) On-street parking. Round walk via Gratton Dale, Long Dale, Wenley Hill, Bradford Dale and Harthill Moor - 10 miles

AMBLE - Sheffield Arundel Gate (AG9) 24 bus (10.10) to top gate of Graves Park/stop after Morrisons (10.35). Leader will meet group here. Linear walk to Meersbrook via Norton Lees - 5 miles.
PLUS - Sheffield Arundel Gate (AG11) 51 bus (9.45) to Lodge Moor bus terminus (10.16). Leaders will meet bus. Round walk via Wyming Brook, Fox Holes Plantation and Redmires Plantation - 10 miles.
Thursday 12th June 2025
Sheffield Station Manchester train (10.14) to Hathersage (10.32). Leader will meet the group at Hathersage station. Round walk via Higger Tor and Stanage Edge - 7½ miles.
Saturday 14th June 2025
AMBLE - Sheffield Interchange (D4) X17 bus (9.36) to Chesterfield coach station (10.20) Leader will join bus at Whittington, then New Beetwell Street (stop B12) for 170 bus (10.35) to Brookfield Community School (10.39). Drivers note, on street parking nearby. Round walk via Holymoorside - 6 miles.
