Below are details of club walks taking place within the next 28 days (half-yearly programmes are available only to members).
Non-members are welcome to try out a walk or perhaps two before joining. BUT make sure your come with suitable footware, clothing and sufficient food and water for a day walk, please see the Come Prepared page
Walkers are advised to check up-to-date public transport times, and, should keep in mind that leaders are at liberty to alter walk routes when necessary due to circumstances prevailing on the day
The words AMBLE or PLUS precede some walks, indicating that they correspond with the so-named walk type descriptors given on the Our Walks page, the remainder adhere to the Moderate Walks description in style.
Please note: our walks are peer-led, not guided, and are for people with some walking experience.
NON-MEMBERS PLEASE CONTACT CLUB BY EMAIL FIRST BEFORE ATTENDING A WALK AND WHEN ATTENDING BE PREPARED TO PROVIDE FULL NAME AND CONTACT DETAILS.
With travel timetables changing frequently and buses being cancelled at short notice PLEASE check travel times yourself shortly before the walk.

Bluebell walk - Sheffield Arundel Gate (AG1) 252 bus (9.36) or from Interchange (9.41) to The Swan PH, Ridgeway (10.09). Linear walk to Charnock via Moss Valley Woodlands - 8 miles. (Return by bus or tram.)
Saturday 25th April 2026
AMBLE - Bluebell amble. Sheffield Arundel Gate (AG123) 97 bus (9.52) to Millhouses Post Office (10.12). Linear walk to Meersbrook Park via Hutcliffe Wood, Beauchief Abbey, Park Bank, Chancet & Cobnar Woods and Graves Park - 6 miles. (Several break off points.)
PLUS - Sheffield Interchange 272 bus (8.30) to Castleton (9.26). Round walk via Mam Nick, Lord s Seat, Perry Dale, Old Dam, Eldon Hill and Hurd Low - 10½ miles.
Thursday 30th April 2026
Sheffield Flat Street (FS3) 43 bus - note earlier bus times - (9.34) to Unstone Green (10.22). Leader will meet bus. Linear walk to Chesterfield via Grasscroft Wood, Chesterfield Canal, Hollingwood Hub and Tapton Golf Course - 8/8½ miles. (Return to Sheffield by train or bus.)
Saturday 2nd May 2026
AMBLE+ – Sheffield Interchange 218 bus (9.40) to Chatsworth House (10.27). Linear walk to Bakewell via Edensor, Carlton Houses, Manners Wood, Bowling Green Farm and riverside path – 6 miles. (Two ascents taken at an easy pace.)
PLUS - Sheffield Station Huddersfield train (9.35) to Penistone (10.19) Round walk via Castle Green, Cubley Hall, Brock Holes, Langsett, Green House, Catshaw, Royd Moor Hill and Top o’th’ Town. – 12 ½ miles. (50% off train fare with a S. Yorks. bus pass.)

Sheffield Cathedral Yellow tram - note slightly later tram times - (9.47) to Hillsborough (10.02) then 62 bus (10.15) to Main Road/Yews Fold stop in Dungworth (near former Royal Hotel) (10.39). Linear walk to Low Bradfield via Ringwood Lane, Heather Bank, Wet Shaw Dike, Shepherd’s Height, Tor Farm, Dale Dike Reservoir and Annet Bridge - 7½ miles.

AMBLE – Sheffield Angel Street (CG3) 86 bus (9.35) to Angel Inn, Grenoside (10.05). Leader will meet bus. Linear walk to Deepcar via Wheata Wood, Greno Knoll, Wharncliffe Chase and Crags – 5.3 miles.
PLUS - Sheffield Station Mexborough train (10.05) to Mexborough Station S64 9AQ, (10.34). (what3words rosette.rebounder.fussy). Round walk via Old Denaby, Conisbrough and Hooton Roberts – 10 miles. (50% off train fare with S. Yorks bus pass.)

Sheffield Interchange 272 bus (9.45) to Hathersage (10.25). Linear walk to Bamford via Hazel Ford, Eyam Moor, Stoke Ford, and Offerton Moss - 8 miles.
Saturday 16th May 2026
AMBLE – Sheffield Interchange (D4) X17 bus (9.36) to Cavendish Street, Chesterfield (10.16). Leader will meet bus, then, 51 bus to Wingerworth for amble around The Avenue Washlands and Wingerworth Ponds – 5/6 miles. (Easy Peasy) (Return 55 bus to Chesterfield at 14.40).
PLUS – Sheffield Station Manchester train (9.14) to Hope (9.39). Round walk via Twitchill Farm, Win Hill, Ladybower Reservoir, Hope Cross, Spring House Farm and Castleton – 12½ miles.
