Below you will find details of club walks taking place within the next 28 days, taken from the current
edition of our twice yearly printed programme, circulated to all members. Non-members are welcome to
try out a walk or perhaps two before joining: please see the Come Prepared page BUT make sure
your come with suitable footware, clothing and sufficient food and water for a day walk. Details were correct
at the time the paper programme went to press, but walkers are advised to check up-to-date public transport
times, and, should keep in mind that leaders are at liberty to alter walk routes when necessary due to
circumstances prevailing on the day
. The words AMBLE or PLUS precede some walks, indicating that they
correspond with the so-named walk type descriptors given on the Our Walks page, the remainder adhere to the
Moderate Walks description in style. Leaders' names and contact details are only available to club members
via our printed programme.

Please note: our walks are peer-led, not guided, and are for people with some walking experience.



Saturday 19th October 2019

Interchange 272 bus (9.40) to Bamford bus turnaround (10.26). Round walk via Thornhill, Aston, Fulwood Stile Farm and Ladybower - 8 1/2 miles

PLUS – Car ramble. Meet Bowden Bridge (10.00) (SK 048 869). Round walk via Kinder Downfall, Burnt Hill, Lantern Pike and Hayfield – 12 miles

Thursday 24th October 2019

Interchange 65 bus (9.35) Note: change to walk start point and walk to Fox house (10.02). Round walk via Padley Gorge and Chapel - 7 miles

Saturday 26th October 2019

Interchange X5 bus (9.47) to Dinnington Interchange (10.36). Round walk via Laughton, Firbeck, Langold Country Park and Letwell – 11 miles

PLUS – Interchange 65 bus (9.35) to Eyam, Little Edge (stop after road up to CP/toilets) (10.22). Round walk via Highcliffe, Nether Bretton, Abney Moor, Grindlow, Wardlow, Blakedon Hollow and The Delf – 12 miles

Thursday 31st October 2019

Sheffield station (9.30) Hull train to Mexborough (9.54). Linear walk to Doncaster via Old Denaby, Conisbrough, Farcliffe Woods, River Don, Warmsworth and Hexthorpe – 10 miles with break off points. (Check with leader in advance if off peak or peak half fare is needed)

AMBLE – Interchange X17 bus (10.10) to Chestefield, Cavendish Street (10.51). Linear walk to New Whittington via canal, Tapton House, Brimington Common, West Wood, Ringwood Lake, and Hollingwood Lock Café – 6 miles
